About Me

Some say that people hide behind masks to protect themselves. Never letting anyone see the real person underneath.I believe we wear veils, not masks. We are shielded from view; except by those we allow. However, hints of the true interior are visible. Only upon close inspection. True interest. True effort. Perhaps only true love. Some people are content to hide; almost completely concealed. Nothing or no one penetrates this shroud. They live too terrified; perhaps, of life itself. Their realm is one of fear, regret, and sorrow. This choice is an easy one. No effort is required.Great courage and honesty are required to cast off this veil and live in the light. Who are we to shine this brightly? What gives us the right? The question should be" What right have we NOT to shine like a blazing sun?I hope to have it one day.

My Interests

My interests are many and varied. An open mind is the only kind to have.

I'd like to meet:

I'll leave this up to you. It never hurts to say hello. Who knows what might happen?

Music:

Android Lust, Apoptygma Berzerk, Assemblage 23, Beborn Beton, Bi God 20, Conjure One, Crystal Method, Covenant, Decoded Feedback, Delerium, Depeche Mode, De/Vision, Diary Of Dreams, Dreams So Real, E Nomine, Edge Of Dawn, Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Headscan, Hocico, In Strict Confidence, Informatik, KMFDM, Kulture Kultur, Madonna, Mindless Faith, Ministry, Peter Murphy, New Order, Nitzer Ebb, Neuroticfish, October Project, Parallel Project, Prodigy, Project Pitchfork, Public Image Limited, Retrosic, Rotersand, Seabound, SITD, Sisters of Mercy, Skinny Puppy, Siouxie and the Banshees, Suicide Commando, Thrill Kill Cult, VNV Nation, Velvet Acid Christ, Wolfsheim, Wumpscut, and Rob ZombieI'm sure I have left out many artists that I enjoy. For the most part I enjoy groups in the gothic realm of music. I include industrial, ebm, synthpop, and the many other sub-categories of darker non-main stream music under the gothic genre.

Movies:

Blade, The Bourne Supremacy, The Breakfast Club,Clue, Cube, The Crow, League of Extraordinary Gentleman, From Hell, Interview With The Vampire, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Resident Evil, Run Lola Run, Saw, Seven, Sleepy Hollow, Spiderman, Star Wars, Twelve Monkeys.Once again I'm sure I have left out many favorites. I tend to enjoy movies outside the mainstream. While not a horror fan I like darker movies for the most part.

Television:

I'm not a huge fan of television. I do try and catch Desperate Housewives when I can. In the past, I loved Dynasty, Lois and Clark, Melrose Place, Superfriends, and Wonder Woman.

Books:

I don't get to read as much as I would like. In the past, I have been a huge Anne Rice fan. I've read most everything she's written.I do enjoy reading books on the classic civilizations of Greece and Rome. I especially love their mythology and pantheon of gods and goddesses. After a 6 year hiatus from reading comic books, I've started again. Albeit slowly. I'm a DC fanatic for the most part. My favorites have always been Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, Green Lantern (Hal Jordon, thank you very much), Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein thanks again), and anything Justice League.I haven't kept up with Spiderman or the X-men but love certain aspects of Marvel heroes.

Heroes:

I can't say I have any heroes per say. I do admire and respect many of my friends and family. Their strength and courage in the face of adversity. Their caring and support during times of pain and sorrow. Their open mindedness and acceptance. Their constant sacrifices during times of need. All of this is nothing short of an inspiration for me to try and be the same.
