Sounds Like: Then came The Jack of Hearts Band. This 6 piece are starting to make waves at home and further a field. Visually they looked great with their statuesque dread-locked giant of a bass player and the dapper almost "Commitments" type harmonica /vocalist.
Describing themselves as a "Stoner Blues" band gives you a clue as too their influences. A distinctive and well executed set that seemed to impress the whole room. - BBC LEICESTER
Following on were The Jack of Hearts Band. "Flashes of Genius" was one comment on the night. Stoner Blues outfit who have such a distinctively refreshing style that sets them apart from many bands around at the moment. - OBS 2006
Fresh on the local scene in 2006 this raucous rocking six piece have fused sleazy rock ‘n’ roll with down ‘n’ dirty blues to great effect. They start with Muddy Waters and throw in a little Captain Beefheart and sprinkle liberally with Led Zeppelin and from there the magic things start to happen. - City Blues Festival 07
If you're a fan of good, old fashioned bluesy rock and roll look no further that TJOHB, a truly great group of musicians plying their trade in and around Leicester. 'Touch You' is the type of song that would be used to open a set and blow people's minds: it certainly makes an impression.
'Bad Hand' and 'Take Me Back' both have an air of quality and confidence about them you only really feel from the elite bands, and TJOHB pull this off well. It's hard to think they only came about in 2006, and such is the level of their rise that they can already count chart acts such as Jack Panate as artists they've shared the stage with.
Top work from a top band, be sure to see them live and revel in their brilliance! - Demos Reviewed 07
