About Me

Peter Edison real name Peter Martino was born 28 years ago and emigrated to North Italy with his family. Adopting the city of Reggio Emilia, he gets to know the console thanks to his uncle Jonathan, multi-instrumentalist and deejay for many years, who before moving to Germany, introduced Peter to the console and taught him the art of mixing: his passion for records explodes during youth and it is a passionate exploration of the musical universe. After gaining experience in the discos of Emilia Romagna , in the mid 90s with the alias of deejay Pedro, Peter Edison arrives at Maffia, one of the most important national culture clubs: his Wednesday spots at The Cafè Noir lets him propose a refined electronic mix of deep features working alongside people such as Jolly Music, Alessio Bertallot and Lele Sacchi. The following year he is chosen as resident for the newborn Miss America, working with some of the best Italian staff, including Le Folies De Pigalle: for 4 years sharing the console with such mythical figures as Ralf, Alex Neri, Peter Kruder, Cassius, Chicken Lips, Boosta, Peace Division and Pasta Boys. At the same time, his freelance activity gains ground in various famous venues, such us Cassero (BO), Peter Pan (RI), Alter Ego (VR), Link (BO), Cocoricò (RI) and starts collaborating, at a productive level, with the expert D.J. Rocca, already involved in outstanding releases together with Pressure Drop, Ian Simmonds and Zed Bias. He starts to get a lot of attention, not only as he is chosen by MTV for the Club Generation party with Tiga, but also becomes resident at Qasi, recognized by various magazines one of the most interesting projects of 2003, thanks to guests such as Playgroup, Ellen Allien, Metro Area, Howie B, Ivan Smagghe, Tiefschwarz, Rainer Truby and Richard Fearless (Death In Vegas). His colourful house mix is aired on various Italian radios and Peter is commissioned for the production of Recycle In Loop, a soundtrack for the national association Remida, in which he composes 5 tracks starting from simple organic sounds generated by bicycles. His official debut as a producer is expected in 2006, and he will also begin two Italian Tours together with Miss America and Qasi, as well as some foreign dates in Switzerland and England.Selected Venues: Maffia / Miss America - Reggio Emilia; Qasi - Modena; Cassero - Bologna; Magazzini Generali / MTV Club Generation - Milano; Alter Ego - Verona; Cocoricò - Riccione; Link - Bologna; Zanzibar - Marina di Ravenna; Privilege - Torino; Motorhow / Mtv Club Generation - Bologna; Diabolika / NRG Disco - Roma; Aida - Jesolo; Vox - Nonantola; Brucia Festival - Modena; Cubadust - Milano Marittima; Dub Club San Gallen (CH).

RENAISSANCE AMBASSADOR DAVE SEAMAN MIXES UP “THE MASTER SERIES VOL.10? Mention Dave Seaman and thoughts of a Renaissance album are invariably never that far behind, so it’s fitting our most ‘capped’ player return to handle the honours for the 10th volume in the prestigious Masters Series. The result is a varied excursion through electronica / dance, which – as ever – demonstrates Dave’s impeccable mixing and programming skills. Kicking-off from the left side of the field, Disc 1 blends two of dance hottest new properties, Apparat and Fairmont before taking-up the more traditional dance-reigns by way of Dusty Kids ‘Cowboys’. From there things rise to a quick gallop incorporating a who’s who of the current scene from Gui Boratto, Christian Fischer, Mark Knight, Skylark, Sasha and, of course, Underworld, who provide the closing crescendo with their very excellent ‘Beautiful Burnout’. “I’ve always viewed the Masters Series as a lasting snapshot of the very best the scene has to offer at that time,” says Dave, “Getting the balance right is never an easy task, so it’s always a long, hard process, but that only serves to make the end result more rewarding. As ever, my greatest hope is the fans and all who listen to it enjoy it too.” Dave keeps his self-imposed brief firmly in mind as he flips to the clubbier Disc 2, with contributions from Martin Buttrich, Solomun, Popof, Oliver Huntemann, Dubfire and Umek, concluding yet another incredible chapter in the Masters Series.www.renaissance.comwww.djdaveseaman.comwww.myspace.co m/daveseaman
