We're Here. That's Awesome.

About Me

I'm a nice boy who's kinda shy but when I reach a certain level of comfort, I open up on basically every level, whether it's just being loud, goofy and fun with friends or really personal and open with thoughts and feelings. My three biggest passions in life are probably music, film and wrestling. I often dream of pursuing different combinations of the 3 when the discussion of career/occupation comes up, but I tend to dismiss those thoughts quickly. I was very involved with theatre allthroughout high school and I still try to remain involved as a member of Phantasm Players, a local theatre society made up of alumni from Surrey high schools. I think my favourite thing on earth is going to concerts and I try to see as many as I can without breaking the bank. I love experiencing music in just about any way imagineable, from just closing your eyes and "breathing it in" (like when I saw Isis or The Mars Volta) or stage dives, sing-a-longs and pile ons at a hardcore show. I love when I go see a movie in the theatre and it has such a profound effect on me that I don't leave my seat until the credits have finished running and the lights have come up. I went to university for a year and a bit at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC and it just wasn't for me. I spent three years working at a subpar job and kept trying to tell myself to get on with things and go back to school but never really felt all that motivated. The past few months was one of the most frustrating periods in my life but I've got a new job and the future looks a tad brighter. With all that said, I think I'm going to try and start a math-emo-prog-hXc band who play 18 minute songs about falling in love with your best friend, in 6/8 time, and containing 37 1/2 breakdowns per song (that's like one every 25 seconds, depending on how long they last of course) and see how far in life I can get doing that, although my guitar playing is gonna need to get a whole lot better if something like this will ever come to be.

Film, Music (both live and the art of shopping for), Wrestling (Both participating and watching), Mixed Martial Arts, Sports in general (Soccer, Baseball, Football), Theatre, Travelling (both seeing cool/interesting/landmark things as well as the actual act of travelling, ie I actually enjoy going through airports and all that hoopla as strange as that sounds).test
