Creative artist Rhonda aka Rasha Lariss began painting after she graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelors of Arts degree in History Education in May 2002. Rhonda’s works are in various private collections throughout the United States, England, and Sweden. Some of her collectors include Grammy nominated Singer Kelly Price, actress Vanessa Williams, actress Irma P. Hall (Big Mama from film Soul Food), and one of America’s top radio personalities Tom Joyner and fitness guru Donna Richard Joyner. Her work has been accepted in a host of juried art exhibitions including Chicago Jazz Festival Art Fair, Chicago Gospel Festival Art Fair, R.A.W. Fine Art Show, and African Festival of the Arts. She has shown her work in galleries, museums and major venues including Millennium Park, Dusable Museum, Gallery Guichard, Grant Park, Greenbelt Cultural Center, and Indianapolis Convention Center. Rhonda is a member of the Chicago Artist Coalition and the American Society of Artists. She has donated some proceeds to Habitat for Humanity for Hurricane Katrina Survivors.Rhonda is preparing for her May 2008 Exhibit "Color My Love" at University of Chicago- Illinois. Next to painting, my other passion is singing- I love to sing.
