Uglylove

Uglylove is a four piece band from London that present very well crafted songs in a blistering style with original thought provoking lyrics and with a reputation for their energetic and full-on live performances. Uglylove epitomizes “global rock” – to quote lead singer, Gad (SKP), “We won’t be pigeonholed by London. If it’s online and you’re getting the hits it’s global.” Their EP showcases six songs that capture Uglylove's enormous energy. Their motto is “No Makeup”, which goes someway to describe their sound - raw, bold and shamelessly direct. Another of their slogans is “Death to Boybands. Anytime we play same time another place a boyband dies.”
In 2006 Uglylove headlined at 93ft East, Mass in Brixton, the Notting Hill Arts Club and the Tavistock Festival, Portobello Road. They also supported The Alabama 3 at The Dirty South, Lewisham. Uglylove ended the year with gigs at Clockwork in Islington and supporting the Stevie K band at the Bull & Gate, Kentish Town - on each occasion confirming their reputation as one of the country’s top live unsigned acts.In 2007 Uglylove hope to play as many festivals as humanly possible and would direct festival promoters to their website at MySpace.com/cuckoolane where they can listen to mp3s, watch a promotional video and enjoy some live footage.
