Born and raised in Wenatchee, WA (a smallish town famous for its apples); most call me T.J.. Recent graduate of ERAU in Aerospace Engineering. As such, it goes without saying that I'm a space geek and pretty much love anything to do with science (one of my goals in life is to forego that whole "NASA" thing and fly my own damn ship up there). Everyone in my fam plays at least one musical instrument; my main poison is piano (played it pretty much my whole life), but I dabble with my dad's drumset when I visit "home" and I played viola from grade school through high school. I tend to have a very dichotomous personality in that I take life one day at a time and believe that the journey is just as important as the destination, but I also keep my sights firmly set on the future and tend to analyze all possible permutations of my decisions. Most of my political views are of a conservative nature, but unlike some, I actually listen to what both sides have to say and do my own reconnaissance before deciding where I stand on an issue. While fairly reserved around those I don't know well, I can be quite gregarious around those I do. My mantra in life is pretty simple: "hakuna matata" (or "if you're not smiling and having fun around me, then I'm not doing my job"). Hang around me for more than two seconds and you'll realize what I mean. I have a medium-dry, somewhat sarcastic sense of humor, can be a bit of a smartass at times and have a tendency to quote movie lines. Although I generally have a fairly laid-back countenance, here is one note of caution: I'm very driven to achieve my goals, so if you don't share that attitude then there will be some friction between us. I'm a firm believer that it's up to each of us to make life happen (my three favorite words are proactivity, tenacity and perseverance). If you want something, put in the effort and go get it. Period. Fate and karma only take you so far.
