Horses are my passion. I have ridden horses all my life and feel a close kinship to them. I also love to ride motorcycles!I love to hike, camp, mud bog, white water raft, and take wild life and scenery pictures. I also enjoy hitting a movie and shopping with some of my gal pals, dancing to one of our bodacious local bands or belting out a song or two at karaoke. When the weather is nasty you'll find me curled up on a couch with a raspberry mocha and a good book at the Parlor News coffee shop.
I enjoy checking out second hand stores and antique shoppes! I am the original budget babe and accessory queen! I used to love to ski and lived for snow, but since I blew out my knee and had to have major surgery on it last January I have decided that winter sucks! I've set my sights on Mazatlan now that I can't ski anymore! I am also a lover of fine wine, good beer, delicious food and soaking in warm water!
I'd like to meet:
I don't tolerate mean, closed minded or two faced people. I really appreciate meeting interesting, strong individuals. Individuals that have a good outlook on life and believe that we were all put on this earth to make things better, not screw them up more! I am drawn to people who have a great sense of humor. Laughing is such an attractive quality to me. Oh yah, having a yearning for adventure is a good thing. It doesn't hurt if they have an affection for dogs and horses, coffee, good books, and motorcycles!>
Music:
Music is such a big part of my life! I love to listen to it, sing it, and dance to it. Carrie Underwood, Fergie, Pink, Bonnie Raitt, Wynona, JoDee, Alison, Emy Lou and Reba are my girls! THEY ROCK THE BLOCK!!! Other wise I enjoy most genres of music, just don't try to make me listen to any rap crap or opera (what's with all that yelling and screaming!) I must say that coutry, blue grass, and the 70's and 80's rock and roll eras will always be my favorites.
Movies:
My very favorite movie right now is "Wild Hogs". I loved William Macy! I just watched "Horton Hears A Who" and abosuletly loved it too! Even though it was marketed as a children's flick, we adults could really learn a thing or two from Dr. Seus's messages!!! Usually I'm either an adreneline junky or a chick flick addict. Under the Tuscan Sun and Love Actually are my good old stand bys when I need to feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Tom Selleck will always be my leading hunk. I must profess that I am smitten by the Underworld movies when it comes to sexy leading ladies. When I need a good laugh I bring out Lucile Ball and Dessi in "The Long Trailer House" or Abbot and Castello's old ghoul school movies. I think my very favorite movies of all times are "It's a Mad Mad Mad World" amd it's predecessor, "Rat Race".
Television:
Since I returned to college last fall to earn my degree in psychology I haven't been watching much television. Now that football is over for another year I really get into NCIS, The Ghost Wisperer, Moonlight, and American Chopper.
Books:
My favorite books are those that feature women and horses. The two best I've had the pleasure of reading are the "Of Women and Horses" books by GaWaNi Pony Boy.
During my leisure reading time I get into a lot of healthy living and self improvement books and as well as historial books that encompass the western and south western states. I love ghost towns and ghost stories. I am smitten with sexy super natural novels about vampires, vampire hunters, ghosts, and wereanimals. Some authors that are really fun include Laurel K. Hamilton, Mary Janice Davidson, Charlene Harris and Kris Radish.
Heroes:
My Dad has always been like a super hero to me. He taught me that any man can father a child, but it takes a very special individual to be a little girl's Daddy!
My youngest daughter is another of my heroes! I have said that she is the adult in our family and someday she'll hopefully get me raised! Tiffany is my rock and my common sense. She's also one of my best friends. What more can a Mom ask for!
I have to say that my biggest heros were my grandmothers. They both lost their husbands early in life and had to raise their children and take care of ranches and buisinesses themselves. Their perserverance was the cornerstone of my whole reality. Their love is what kept me from going over the edge when I was a screwed up rebellious teenager. I only hope I can be half the mentor to all of the young women I hold so precious in my own life! My motto is to live, love, learn and always always laugh!
