Stalebreak
Add to My Profile | More Videos- Stalebreak are a 3 piece Rock/Grunge band that formed in the Cotswolds in 2002. They spent four years gigging around the local area before moving to Bristol in the summer of 2006 to increase their opportunities. Their guitar based riffs and screaming vocals have led many to compare them to the likes of Nirvana and The Foo Fighters.Stalebreak all grew up in the quiet town of Chipping Campden where they all went to the same school. Their passion for live music brought them together at a young age, when they became good friends and began learning their respective instruments. For the first couple of years they played cover songs before forming Stalebreak in 2002 and writing their own material. Their first E.P “The Mad Little Secrets of Alice†was recorded in July of 2004 and was critically acclaimed in the local area. ‘The Shiznit’, a local fanzine, said this about the C.D:
"Those heavy riffs are sweetly lifted by the deep, throaty vocals and unplugged guitar, broken up by beautiful instrumental sections. The band create an enormous energy and atmosphere that could only be appreciated by seeing them live."Their second E.P “Style Over Substance†has been used to promote the band via the internet on ‘Myspace’, gaining airplay on internet radio stations such as ‘Pulse Unsigned’ as well as being played over university radio stations across the country.Having been in Bristol, Stalebreak are built an ever increasing fan base and recently supported 'The Zico Chain' at The Bristol Carling Academy 2. After recording their third E.P in Feburary 07, the band are relocating down to Brighton. ---
