Vilas Pomp

Vilas Pomp aka Lower Rhine Area Oscillator: 1980 - 1982 playing in different punkbands drums and guitars. 1983 starting djaying old school hiphop and reggae. 1989 starting the first off-event in cologne spinning hiphop, techno and house. 1991 first 7" with Vibe Tribe Soundsystem feat. Don Abi (Dancehall Reggae) 1992 EP with Vibe Tribe Soundsystem (also feat. Don Abi). 1993 Drum'n'Bass and Digital Dub came around and ruled for at least five seasons. 1993: release on Dubitamin Compilation. 1996 First straightbeat record als Vibe Tribe Soundsystem (Split 12" with Panacea and Sven Vth's Producer Ralf Hildenbeutel). 1997 Planet Bass was founded (in good company with Mathias Schaffhuser). One of the first events which featured the later so famous 'Sound of Cologne'. With acts like Styro 2000, DJ Fragment, M.I.A., Falko Brocksieper, Triple R, Strobocop, Mathias Schaffhuser to name but a few. 2004 Chroma-Park founded. An event between club, lounge and arts. 2005 first release under the name Vilas Pomp featuring singer Elena and saxophonplayer Adrian on Carotin records (distributed by Rough Trade). Compilation: Down to alpha.earth 2005 Lower Rhine Area Oscillator founded as a more underground techhouse project with many real dub roots. Playing only a few but frenetic gigs with f.e.
