"Ever Vigilant Chasing Flames, Saving Lives"

About Me

Crims Chapel VFD was established in 1989 as an effort to increase fire protection to the citizens of rural northern Rusk County.Originally located at the intersection of CR 254 and SH 322, the station has since been moved to a more central location close to the intersection of FM 850 and FM 2276 on CR 241E.Crims Chapel VFD is a 7 member, all volunteer fire department, serving a rural populated area of aproximately 2500 people with one station. Our apparatus lineup features one small rescue (R15), one quick attack (A15), and one class A pumper (E15), all of which allow CCVFD to provide medical first responders, fire suppression, and vehicle extrication (JAWS). Crims Chapel is one of fourteen volunteer fire departments serving the citizens of Rusk County, which is located in East Texas. Partial funding is provided by the Rusk County ESD 1 which provides an annual income of $10,000. All additional monies come from fund raising efforts by the members, generous donations, and state/federal grant programs.
