About Me

"Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell Stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something." KV (1922-2007)

My Interests

schadenfreude, 80's slang, and shallots. I'm a fan of hard-boiled eggs from bodegas, watching the wind break peoples umbrella's, thrifting for books, chips ahoy warmed in the microwave, deep sleep, drinking a bottle of Shiraz when I've got nothing better to do, laughing at my own misfortune- but laughing even harder at other peoples...bizarre coincidences, absurd realities, and the smallest details

but they stopped. and what a sight THEY were. Dean and Sal their names, so they told me. bed hair and wrapped in faded denim, their faces wearing the shadow of many mornings. both grinning the biggest shit-eating grins I ever saw, looking like a pair of loony angels dropped down from the heavens to this very stretch of road, at this very moment just for me. they could’ve tunneled out of the state penitentiary, I didn’t care. there was something special in their wild eyes. with excitement I hiked my pack up onto my back, and for introduction, “as far as you’ll take me.”
bounding into the old jalopy, rotted floor boards under toe, we roared off into the great expanse of the western night. it was great to be off my feet and really making some time. i leaned close to the window to feel the rush of cold air. above us the twinkle stars were winking and I wink back. And I am happy, and this is everything….a
