As a child, Micah attended St. Edward Catholic School, where he studied in the ways of the Lord. He later attended Corona High School, where he renounced God and decided to become a filmmaker instead. His love of film was evident from an early age. Said one of Micah’s classmates, “Yeah. I know Micah.â€
Following high school, Micah enrolled at Riverside Community College*, where he studied screenwriting, directing and editing. In 2001, Micah was accepted by The Los Angeles Film School, where he continued to study writing and directing as well as producing. His works did not go unnoticed by his fellow students. When asked about Micah, LA Film alumnus Chris Donovan said, “Will you please stop bothering me?â€
After graduating from LA Film, Micah was not satisfied with any of the short projects he had completed. Said a crew member on one such project, “That’s because they sucked!†So, in 2005, Micah completed the short horror/comedy, “Creeps†(viewable at www.chillertv.com/D2D2/Videos/, page 3, fourth row, sixth column).
Micah continues writing and is working with his fellow filmmakers to launch a feature project. When asked about his plans for the future, Micah had this to say: “I’ll never make a MySpace page.â€
* Don’t think less of it just because it’s a community college. Many successful people attended community college. Shakespeare went to a community college. Go ahead. Prove us wrong.
