This bio page could go on forever, but I will spare you the details! Here's the Reader's Digest version: It begins way back in the 1900's (1975 to be exact)...... I was born in Manteca, California. My father was a gospel musician who influenced me to start playing guitar and sing at an early age. In 1981 my folks got a wild hair and decided to migrate to middle Tennessee. It was here that I fell in love with country music, listening to Merle Haggard and Don Williams on a daily basis. My influences grew as I became a teenager. By this time I liked all kinds of music - from Aerosmith to Clapton to Metallica. I started playing in bar bands at the age of 14 and learned a lot during those next few years.... At the age of 18 I was ready to take a stab at original music. I formed the Tennessee based hard rock / metal band DISARRAY and cut my teeth on the touring circuit. This began my music business education. It was like college to me. We were signed to an indie label (Eclipse Records) and learned to both love and hate the music business machine. We lived in a van and crossed the country more times than I can count........ playing venues ranging from theaters, to thousand seaters, to laundromats! Basically if there was electricity and a crowd we'd be there to rock! To date DISARRAY has released 5 studio albums, toured the planet with many of my heros, appeared on 7 tribute albums, and has secured a place in rock and roll's underground history. The next chapter begins in 2002 when my grandfather (Charlie Bonnet Sr) passed away. It was during this time that I felt the need to reinvent myself. I got back to basics with an acoustic guitar and a microphone........ writing old school country, folk, and Southern rock songs - the kind of music that my family listened to together when I was a kid. Before long I was writing with the hit makers and learning the ways of Music Row. It's been a blast! You can now find me hanging out in Nashville with my ole pals...... writing and performing original music.
