Influences:AMBI PROFILESinger AMBI was born in Osaka, Japan. Under the influence of her mother, she grew up listening to different kinds of music. Music from America, such as funk, soul, jazz, rhythm and blues was a part of her interests. She was in love with music played by Black musicians at that time. At the age of 13 she participated for the first time in a band as a vocalist and a guitarist. she stayed with the band for 4 years learning as much as she could. At the age of 17 she left the band to pursue her solo singing career. Doing her own distribution and promotion handing out her self-made Demo CD's and searching for places to be featured, heard and most of all, to perform. At the age of 19, in 1999 she also fell in love with the sound of reggae music that was coming out of the island of Jamaica. She felt it deep in her soul that her goal was to learn more about reggae music. Reggae music and the culture became part of her heart, mind, body and soul. The feeling made her book a trip to Kingston, Jamaica and she stayed at a guest house and take the time to explore different parts of the island learning more and more about Jamaican culture and its music. While in Kingston she visited Arrows dub plate studio, she did a few recordings for her demo CD. Also she made couple of Dub Plates for 2 different sound systems and also recorded at Saphire Studio. She had a lot of fun while learning the art of reggae music. After spending 2 weeks in Jamaica, she headed back to Osaka, Japan willing and ready to perform. In Japan she met Choco Chip 45( the 2004 female sound clash champions of Osaka, Japan) and became good friends. Ambi became their singer, and Choco Chip 45 was her sound system. They performed at least 20 times a year, and are still performing together till this present time. Performing with Choco Chip 45 always encourage and support her to do her best. Even when she was not with them they have that kind of understanding as a unit, togetherness, love and Unity.At the age of 22 with her unconventional style, her first single D.H.Q, was ranked ..1 on the charts (Just Now Ranking Chart) and (Hip Hop Ranking Chart) in the Kansai region. Local Onkyo Indies website as well as it's appearances on several radio stations. In January 2005 she met Phil G. Producer, Manager and promoter of Deeper Records Jonathan Peters Enterprises, and Tawhiyd M.I. Creed Record productions. She met him through Choco Chip 45, at a rehearsal for the show that they were going to perform that night in club Jurle in Osaka. That night they performed together along with Choco chip 45, doing a remix of Bob Marleys song. The track was remixed in Dance or house music. she sang with Phil G. Rapped in Jamaican. The performance went very well and they were all pleased. Phil G complimented her " I love your voice and your performance. The next time we meet again I will be recording with you." She has kept a good contact with Phil G. since he left Japan.March 2005 Ambi returned back to the Island of Jamaica and New York. From September 2005, she has been working on a NEW ALBUM at INGOMA music Studio with Producer John- Raf Allen and Phil G.RADIO STATIONS that featured and played Ambis songs Radio Cocolo 76.5 Premium Hits (D.H.Q.) Was heard on the radio 3 times a week and 20 times for the month. F.M. 76.7 Dig Out Count Down Featured me as Ambi the solo singer. Moving fast as an up and coming star. F.M. 81.8 Internet Radio (D.H.Q.) Was played every Friday at 5 times a month A.M. Kobe Radio Gave her live coverage and Interview. she also performed live on the air A.M.
