Resident dj at Edinburgh's legendary club night 'Sublime' for 7 years,in addition to residency's at The Venue,Beatroot,Pivo Cafe and Low Gravity in Scotland since 1995,Kev's energetic sets & unique fusion of deep & driving tech-styles has led him to become one of the respected figures within the Scottish clubscene.
Kev's dj career began in 1988 after building up a considerable hip hop record collection throughout the eighties.Inspired by the British rave scene in 1990,he spent the next few years spinning early breakbeat and harder edged house music at small clubs,bars and outdoor parties in and around Edinburgh,until securing his residency at Sublime in June 95.The club ran for 7 years bringing over 150 of the worlds top djs and underground artists to Scotland,many for the first time.It finally closed it's doors in July of 2002.
He now plays regularily across Scotland, and has headlined clubs & festivals in Turkey (JB Festival-Istanbul),Australia (CP-Byron/Melbourne/SkyGardens-Sydney),Greece (Carriocas-Athens),Spain (Alicante),Ireland (Belfast),Poland (Planeta/Dolek/onoff/Graffiti),Japan (Pure) & Quebec (Intense 2008)to name a few
Since 1993, his radio shows & guest mixes on Forth 1, Kiss FM, Beat 106,Fresh Air,BBC Radio Scotland, Clyde 1 & Dex FM (Sydney) have given him the opportunity to push his innovative sound to an even wider audience.Having played over 30 guest mixes on East/Central Scotlands premier station Forth 1 between 1993-95,he eventually moved on to present his own Saturday night show on Forth throughout 2002.
The 'Sublime Show' also ran on local Edinburgh station 'Fresh Air' for 5 years.
Kev's debut release was a collaboration with Nu Idol for Well Wicked Records in 1999.'Getting Closer' was his debut single for Saeed & Palash's Addictive records in 2003 with further releases on Plastica under his KPAXX guise in 2005/2006 + further remixes and releases on Plastic Music,Adjust Recordings,Helevetica Noir,Manuscript & Beat Therapy in 2007/08.
