Jonathan Hill is a 21 year old session musician originally from Worcestershire, U.K., currently living in Manchester. He is also known as Burt through no fault of his own.
Jonathan started playing the cello at 6 and, having gained a Distinction at Grade 8, went on to study with Chris Hoyle of the BBC Philharmonic for two years while studying music at the University of Manchester. Through school he also learnt Percussion with Cliff Pick of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and took piano lessons in a variety of styles.
Jonathan is available for studio sessions and live work on cello, piano, percussion and guitar.
Jonathan is an experienced recording and touring musician having played over 200 shows all around the UK as well as in the USA, Sweden, Germany and Ireland.
He's supported and shared stages with the likes of KT Tunstall, Athlete, Blondie, Glasvegas, The Fratellis, The Pigeon Detectives, The Zutons, Art Brut, Mumford and Sons, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. and Johnny Foreigner.
