About Me

If you are stroking your left elbow in confusion, wondering who the devil I am, let me tell you before your brain starts to hurt. If you have not heard of me, then there is a fair chance that you are enormously uncultured, probably living in quite an unfashionable suburb with several large, hulking car wrecks decaying on your front lawn. A place where conversations about Walt Whitmans metaphorical aptitude or Longfellows use of irregular meters is bodily shoved aside and replaced with topics such as who Tracey "pashed” on Big Brother last night. My name is Reginald Uppertax-Bracket. Currently, I am a world renowned and enthusiastically sought after arts critic. It is my dream job, if I may be permitted to utter such a trite expression. I leave no branch of the creative arts untouched by my critical ..er, touch; theatre, film, fine arts, literature and performance art. (Actually, I do leave performance art untouched quite often with good cause, but I believe I’ve made my point.) My journey to this juncture has seen me travel far and wide, honing my talents in all the creative fields. I have trodden the boards in London (during a play), I have painted frescos near some of Venices smelliest canals, I have conducted the Murwillimbah Symphony Orchestra for three years running. These are small portions of my artistic experience.
