Internet junkie, music, cars. Conversation with intelligent lifeforms.
Anyone who thinks like me. And maybe a few of you who don't.
As much as I like to think I have diverse tastes in music (having like 1000 cd's etc.) I seem to always gravitate back to good solid melodic/hard/stadium rock. I fell off the 'hip' music map when grunge hit the scene and never embraced it totally. I dove into country for a few years as well and enjoyed it....... but now today country seems rather dull. I figure someday I will be capable of having the attention span and appreciation for digesting classical music. I'd like to go back through the 60's and 70's and listen to more of the stuff I missed from those decades someday. Sometimes, Diana Krall just gets you THERE. NO 'CONTEMPORARY JAZZ' please, or I may have to hurt you. I never thought of myself as enough of an intellectual in college so that I could proclaim myself to be big into the 'college alternative' rock scene. Don't let anyone know I was a BIG DISCO FAN!What I find annoying as hell is that its a major ass struggle trying to find new music of the kind of music I like these days. Downloading is fine in theory but is not high quality enough if I like the music a lot.It would be a fun day to tell a bunch of music execs to GFT's, because clearly they have no pulse on anything in the music industry today. One of these days I need to trim my cd collection down from its 1000+ level by getting rid of all the horrible pop cd's I have from 'puberty' on up.
40 Year Old Virgin is an awesome movie, it reminds me of the days I worked at a Best Buy.....Wedding Crashers is another awesome movie.
Most TV is so crappy these days. Friends was the last show I probably made a point of watching regularly. Love watching football though. Clifford the Big Red Dog seems to be all that is on the tube these days, anyways. Not my choice. I need HDTV cable or satellite soon or I will go nuts.
Car and Driver Magazine, Sound and Vision Magazine, newspaper. I can't focus long enough to read a book. Too much happens I'd miss out on if I were to read a book.
A hero to me is anyone who believes that every day, their major purpose in life is to make life better for the ones they care about.
