I've been singing and playing since I was four - I could sing as loud as I wanted without getting into trouble :) My Mom got me started on piano lessons after I banged her piano out of tune with my "original compositions" when iwas little :) .......................................I grew up with the sound of the bluegrass masters on my radio every Sunday morning, and the Gospel Jubilee on the TV - no better influence in the world to shape a songwriter's heart. I feel so humbled to be a part of the bluegrass genre today. I am happy to be with a great bluegrass band called Scattered Grass - progressive with the a little traditional mountain sound and a sprinkle of the blues. There is a funny story attached to the song above "A Good Woman's Hard To Find". A couple of years ago Brad Paisley wrote a memorable song called "I'm Gonna Miss Her" - you remember, the guy in the song had to decide between fishing and the little woman - he chose fishing. Well, I had to write this little song for Brad from the little woman's point of view - ok fellas, lighten up, it's just fun and music :)..........................................................
