Influences: A story probably no different than your own. A long list of regrets, doubts, crimes, and sins. We can’t shake the past……. It’s all about the future. A man that was able to make necessary changes; just in the nick of time. Still the same guy from the streets of Rancho Cordova. Still the same go getta! A lyricist, a beat maker; nothing can change that. The ambition, the strive, the drive, the stick-to-it-ness, the ambition; that’s Dbl. Just got a new callin’. A man given second, third; wait, countless chances. The same chances that loved ones close to him weren’t given. The seed was planted in him early, and seems to have blossomed at the right time. God’s call came in loud and clear. A man that needed to better himself, and is doing that. Still faced with the same challenges; infact, even more. But no matter what, “The ambition, the strive, the drive, the stick-to-it-ness, the ambition;†its still there. It comes from God. If you know the man, you know he’s no saint. All he can do is repent, and turn away. It’s all we can do.
