About CIMFConnexion International Music Festival (CIMF) was founded in 2003 by Leslie Rovero. Rovero attended several festivals with artists that she managed only to discover that the organizers paid more attention to making money than to artist development. Soon after, the CIMF became a reality. Last years inaugural festival in Jacksonville, Florida featured more than 100 artists and industry representatives from all over the world. CIMF was so successful that we were approached by several different sponsors in different cities all offering to host this years festival. But our focus has always been on the artists and the overwhelming feedback that we received was for two annual festivals. CIMF East in Florida and CIMF West in Las Vegas.
While we may have moved west, we still have the same goals. The festival provides a platform to discover and develop new talent and promises to give exposure to a diverse range of promising performers. Artists from all over the world have the chance to showcase their talents and network with invited A&R executives, producers, publishers, music journalists, talent scouts, casting agents and filmmakers. Musical genres include Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Rap, Reggae, Latin, Folk, Country, Gospel and now DJs.
