People who are interested in being friends, getting political, getting into it about sports or other?? People to go to see bands with. No high-maintenance people though! I have enough of them in my family thanks!
I have always been a huge jazz fan. I love Billy Holiday, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, The Dave Brubeck Quartet---the song Take 5, and the overall feel of the music. I love music with rhythm that gets my hips swinging which is why I love Latin music. I have several Manu Chao albums and they are awesome. I like slower stuff too like Richard Swift, Rufus Wainwright, Bob Schneider, Shawn Mullins, The Dave Matthews Band, Alana Davis, Nora Jones and John Mayer, Ben Folds. Sometimes I feel a little country. But my country is more like pop-country---Sheryl Crow, The Dixie Chicks, Lucinda Willaims or old school with Johnny Cash, Loretta Linn, and Patsy Cline. I like rock too... U2, The Beatles, REM, Pearl Jam, Cake, Beck, They Might be Giants, My Morning Jacket, Nickelback, NIN, Tool, Incubus, Green Day, Oslo, The White Stripes, Muse, The Killers. I love British pop-rock and British punk. How do you go wrong with the Brits? I also have to have a little Raggae style music sometimes. Toots and the Maytals, The Wailers, Bob Marley. And who can skip Sublime. I mean, hello.New faves: Kenna, Android Ethic, The Dimes, The Carolines, The Piper Downs, Vast Capital, OK Go, Army of Freshmen, The Village Green, The Shins, O.A.R., Spearhead.
One of my new favorite films, and a soundtrack that I can't seem to stop listening to is Garden State. The film has these surprisingly beautiful moments that shake my perspectives on what we are doing in this life.
You mean there's more than 3 channels? ESPN, The Food Network, & Comedy Central rule. I have also become addicted to the History Channel. Modern Marvels is the best show there is!My favorite MUPPETS were the two mean, old guys that sat in the balcony and dissed everyone. Their names were Waldorf & Stattler, like the famous hotels In NYC, NY. Do you know which one is which? Do you know which one I most want to be like? MESSAGE ME to find out!!
I'd have to say favorite authors are Ayn Rand, James Joyce, Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Anne Rice, C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, Vonnegut. I enjoy political satire and sports stories too. I prefer non-fiction but like the escape of fiction from time to time.
Baristas!! I would LITERALLY die without them!
