ROThis multitalented artist, Chad "Robee" Robichaux hails from the flavorful gumbo pot of music, New Orleans, La.. "Robee" is naturally a spicy mix of his diversified melting pot surroundings and backgrounds. He started creating his craft of song at the early age of 6. He put his soulful sound to work in his high school choir, the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church choir, the Southern University mass choir and a well known quartet,"FLA-VA" in his adolescent years. By making a name for themselves regionally they signed with "Untouchable Records" but before being released the label folded. They moved on to sign with "Stoney-Boy Records" and released two singles,"Lose Your Love" and "I've Been Watching You", off the "Beyond Tomorrow/World-
wide compilation. By writing and producing these songs, as well as many others for the group, he slowly started to create his own musical style yearning for a sound of his own. "Robee's" sound is hauntingly vulnerable. "I try to achieve musical unity through my lyrical arrangements by writing from the deepest parts of my heart, soul, and personal life experiences," says "Robee". Some of his musical influences include Marvin Gaye, Donnie Hathaway, R. Kelly, Brian McKnight, Donnell Jones and Anthony Hamilton. "Most of these artists write and produce themselves like I do" he says, " And by doing that you can mirror your own aspirations of a musical phenomenom." His live performances have won him recognition from local and regional clubs such as, "Cafe' Brazil", "The Warehouse", "Praline Connection", "House of Blues" and the "Blue Nile". His public performances include "JuneTeenth", "Family Day in the Park", "Biloxi Spring Break". He has appeared in New Orleans television shows, "All Good in the Hood", "Louisiana Juke Box", "Baton Rouge Unplugged", "Phat Phat n All That" and "De Todo Un Poco". "Robee" has also opened for varoius industry vets ranging from Brian McKnight to Ginuwine, Mystical and Juvenille. Robee offers the music industry the spontaneity of a vocalist and the savvy of his powerful writing skills. The combination makes for an exciting and successful experience in the bizz...!
