Influences: My favorite influences are a musician who grew up in my neighborhood named Brian Miller, and a filmmaker who grew up in my neighborhood named Andy Miller, plus Robert Johnson, My Morning Jacket, White Stripes, Arcade Fire, Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, Marvin, Smokey, Stevie, Aretha, The Tempts, The Supremes, Howlin' Wolf, The Shins, older Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, The Sonics, Radiohead, The Black Keys, The Sights, Sam Roberts Band, The Kinks, Fleet Foxes, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Ella Fitzgerald, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Bruce Springsteen. Plus thousands of other artists and songs. Judging by my ipod plays, my favorite three songs are "A Change is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke, "Rebellion(Lies)" by Arcade Fire, and "I Fought the Law" by The Clash.
