After a period of jovial messing with musical genres, Severence now resides firmly in the technical riff driven area of Metal, combining intricate bass work with powerful vocals.
Lyrical influences lie in life, death, religion, society and injustice. These have been influenced by a breed of new-wave death metal leaving behind the monotonous, somewhat pathetic gore driven lyrics that emerge from the myriad Death metal bands out there.
A trip to a local studio has resulted in 6 freshly recorded tracks ready for public consumption soon in their debut EP "Attrition". Ever growing in their sound, Severence next plan to gig as much as is possible.
So sit back, tune down and thrash out.
