Dearest Fans and Friends,
After much deliberation, The Nudniks have decided to come to an end. As most of you probably have realized, it has been a while since we have played a show and/or released any new material. “Signs†was the only exception to this, and that was a year in the making. Writing has been a struggle for us, seeing has how we all want different things out of the music we produce. We figured it would be in our best interests to part ways and find other projects that are more suitable to our music tastes. We are all remaining the best of friends, and will look back on this band with much satisfaction and accomplishment. This is not the end of music for us; The Nudniks was only a chapter in each of our careers as musicians.
With that being said, thank you, to everyone who ever came to one of our shows, bought a demo or t-shirt, or listened to our songs on myspace (even if you absolutely hated it), you guys are what made us a band. The last five years of our lives are going to be unforgettable because of all of you. We’re hoping that someone remembers the lyrics to “On Sunday Morning†or “And I Know†at our high school reunion. That would be amazing! We are leaving the myspace up for all of you to remember us by. When ever you want to hear some good old Nudniks tunes, pull up our page and take a listen. Anyway, thanks again, and farewell.
-The Nudniks
Bio:
The Nudniks formed in early October of 2002. Originally comprised of Adam Traister on vocals and guitar, Alex Herman on lead guitar, Zach Schloss on bass guitar, and Max Young on drums, these four musicians from Scottsdale, Arizona began their accomplished career as an average high school rock band. The Nudniks performed at a number of local venues around the Phoenix metro area including the Venue of Scottsdale, Mason Jar, Minder Binder's, the Real Bar, Nita's Hideaway, Desert Ridge, McDuffy's, Starlight Room, and the first, third and fourth annual Tempe Music Festivals. As young musicians, the Nudniks won first place in their high school battle of the bands three out of four years, and gained a strong and reputable following. After graduating from high school in June of 2006, bassist Zach Schloss left the band in order to pursue his college education at the University of Arizona. Ex-Laconic bassist, Adam Brodie was recruited to take his place, and Clay Stewart, former roadie of the Nudniks, took on keyboard and synthesizer. The Nudniks played their biggest show on February 3, 2007, opening up for one of their biggest influences, the RX Bandits. With this well acclaimed national headliner, and five other local bands, the Nudniks emerged out of hiatus to bring to their fans (old and new) a completely new original sound.
