Wilderness 9 Records is a division of Wilderness Entertainment Inc. Wilderness Entertainment Inc. was founded in 1998 by James C. Burke, Kenny Tucker and Brian McQueen. Wilderness Entertainment, Inc began to make their mark in the music industry with its first project, the independent movie "TROIS". Wilderness Entertainment Inc collaborated with Rain Forest Productions to co-sound score the breakout movie. Rain Forest Productions has since produced “Trois 2 Pandora’s Box, The Gospel and Stomp the Yard”.Upon the success of "TROIS" Wilderness Entertainment Inc. produced and distributed its first compilation CD entitled “Wilderness 9 All Points South” . This CD garnered much acclaim from the local music industry and was monumental in the creation of our record label division Wilderness 9 Records.Wilderness 9 Records first artists were 2 face Kishar and Mista Kingz. Mista Kingz was a breakout artist for Wilderness 9 Records and was instrumental in the succes of our label.Wilderness 9 Records received its first major distribution deal with the hit single “WhatUDrankin On” . DM Records Group,the largest Independent Urban Record Label Group in the south, agreed to distribute the single and album entitled "Bootleg Crunk". The distribution deal with DM Records provided Wilderness 9 Records the opportunity to produce its first Billboard artist MADPO.
