Nathan Rinne has been playing/writing music since the age of thirteen. He started out small but had big plans from day one. He got his first taste of recording at the age of fourteen when his instructor gave him the option to put one of the songs he had written into a tangible form. After doing this he realized the possibilities of being in a recording studio, and decided he needed some way to record himself. Using only a single input soundcard, a microphone, and some headphones, Nathan released countless songs to friends and family, which quickly spread his reputation by word of mouth. Something was still missing though, and in the spring of 2005 Nathan was given the opportunity to attend Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. While attending school, Nathan greatly expanded his playing abilities while still sticking to the sound he had always had. This sound had been called a mix of southern, experimental, progressive, and country rock. After taking six months of the guitar program, Nathan decided to pursue his other major passios yet again, recording. So he joined the Recording Artist Program at MI. Armed yet again with only a mike, a sound card, a laptop, and some headphones, Nathan created what many call his finest work to date, only this time he had the knowledge to make it sound as good as radio quality material. He released his long awaited "coming home" album in the summer of 06, he titled it "take a whirl" after his personal favorite piece about the struggles he faced with drug dependancy, greed, and lust. As thought, this album came with great commercial success, and has sold around a thousand copies to date. (mind you this is a lot in a small town, where his only means of sales are word of mouth and the local video store!!!) He is currently working on his sophmore "studio quality" album and is aiming for a mid-summer to early fall release.
