Greg'DarkJedi' commence à pianoter sur un synthé au milieu des années 90. Il découvre Bjork en 1995 avec l'abum Post, puis devient complètement fan avec Homogenic avec ses dizaines de remixes et b-sides. Aujourd'hui graphiste le jour et musicien la nuit, cet artiste français est membre co-fondateur du groupe DARKJEDIS dont il compose la musique, accompagné de 3 MC, Polyglock, HofmannX, Warkotyk et de DJ Panik au scratches. Cest un cocktail explosif de jungle/Drum'n'Bass et de Hip-hop, au ton revendicateur et énervé. Greg compose ses morceaux avec son fidèle Emac et un clavier midi. Passionné de musiques électroniques et de D'n'B, ses influences sont principalement Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin, Roni Size, Ed Rush & Optical. C'est également un grand fan de Bogdan Raczynski, Squarepusher, Autechre. Mais il reste avant tout un fan de Bjork. Avec la sortie de Vespertine, il se lance dans l'aventure des remixes, après avoir collecté une bonne centaine de remixes, officiels ou amateurs téléchargés sur l'excellent mais regretté Bjork Remix Web. S'inspirant du concept "Remix-Album" Telegram, Greg essaie d'extraire la substance des chansons de Bjork, réinterprète, réarrange et exagère les caractéristiques des morceaux, leur donnant souvent une teinte plus dure et plus sombre, mais aussi respectueuse du morceau original. Ayant remixé tous les "hits" de Medulla, et Volta dans son intégralité, Greg attend maintenant avec impatience le 6eme album de Bjork !
Greg begins to pluck away on a keyboard in the mid 90's. He discovers Björk in 1995 with the album POST, then he becomes completely addicted with the release of HOMOGENIC, with its dozen of remixes and b-sides. Today, he's a graphic designer during the day, and musician at night. This 30 y.o. french artist is the co-founder of the DARKJEDIS's band, for which he composes the music, accompanied with 3 angry and militant MCs, Polyglock, HofmannX, Warkotyk, and DJ Panik at deck scratches. Greg composes his tracks on his old Apple Emac and a midi keyboard. Passionate with electronic music & Drum'n'Bass, his influences are mainly Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin, Roni Size, Ed Rush & Optical ; he's as well a big fan of Bogdan Raczynski, Squarepusher, Autechre...but he stays above all a Björk fan. With the release of VESPERTINE, he jumped into the remixes experience, after he collected hundreds of remixes, official or fan-made from the excellent old Björk Remix Web. Inspired by the "remix-album" concept of TELEGRAM, Greg tries to extract the "core" of Björk's songs, re-interpreting, re-arranging, and exagerating the caracteristics of the songs, giving them a harder and darker sounding, but always respectful towards the original songs. Now, after remixing MEDULLA's hits and the whole VOLTA, he looks forwards for Björk's 6th album !
