The group Close Up was born in 2003 from an idea of the singer (Ghita) and the first bass player (Toto) aiming at proposing the sound with the highest level of rock of the Dutch singer Anouk who was known in Italy for her most popular songs such as 'Nobody's wife' e 'Together alone'. In the beginning the group is composed by four elements (Ghita: voice, guitar- Simone Battista: guitar- Toto: bass Luca Miconi: drums). Afterwards the band starts feeling the need of a second guitar but this period is a stalemate therefore they are obliged to change some of the components. In 2005, even if not definitely, the band starts working again: finally in five (Ghita: voice - Simone Battista: guitar - Massimiliano Forlani: guitar - Marco Zenini: bass - Frappa: drums). The group will keep this formation until a further change: the reunion with the former drum player Luca Miconi. Recently, Close Up have proposed their live shows characterised by a rock and noisy sound in some of the most known clubs of Rome (such as the former Radio Londra, Locanda Blues, etc).
In 2007 Luca Miconi left the band.
Now Daniele Russo joined the band as drummer.
In this moment the band with formation composed by three elements (guitar, bass and voice), starts playing in acoustic way all the Anouk's songs.

I Close Up nascono nel 2003 da un'idea della cantante (Ghita) e del primo bassista (Toto) con l'intento di riproporre il sound più rock di Anouk, cantante olandese nota in Italia perlopiù per singoli come 'Nobody's wife' e 'Together alone'. In un primo momento la formazione è di quattro elementi (Ghita: voce, chitarra - Simone Battista: chitarra - Toto: basso - Luca Miconi: batteria). Successivamente si sente l'esigenza di una seconda chitarra, ma la band, in un lungo momento di stallo, si vede costretta a cambiare alcuni elementi. E' nel 2005, anche se non ancora definitivamente, che la band riprende a camminare: finalmente in cinque (Ghita: voce - Simone Battista: chitarra - Massimiliano Forlani: chitarra - Marco Zenini: basso - Frappa: batteria), la formazione rimane per alcuni mesi stabile fino all'ennesimo cambiamento che vede il ricongiungimento con l'ex batterista Luca Miconi. Da qualche tempo ormai i Close Up hanno inziato attività live in alcuni locali della capitale (la fu Radio Londra, Locanda Blues...) proponendo un repertorio prettamente rock e rumoroso.
Luca Miconi lascia la band all'inizio del 2007 e ne entra a far parte Daniele Russo.
In questo momento il gruppo, formato eccezionalmente da tre elementi (chitarra, basso e voce) sta girando in formazione acustica rivisitando tutto il repertorio!!
