You could say there’s music in A-Love’s veins. Born in 1983 in Rome, Italy to a prolific musician and a soul singer, Antonella Formosa was brought up singing along to Chaka Khan and Joni Mitchell songs and raiding the records of father Ric, an original member of the Little River Band.
Her long awaited debut Ace of Hearts received strong accolades amongst the masses, scoring an ARIA nomination for Best Urban Release and making Triple J's Album of the Week just three days after its release.
She's no newcomer - having been entwined in Australia’s hip hop movement for almost ten years, the 'Love has featured on the most influential local compilations to date, Culture of Kings 2, Straight from the Art and Obesecity. Her live show is both energetic and personable, showing off her ability to make thought provoking, clever rhymes whilst getting the dancefloor going.
