**************Folk band - fiddle - guitar - banjo - hand drum/percussion.What can we say?There may be slicker and trendier musicians around, but our fiddler John can play a soft and beautiful air to melt your very heart, or indeed can belt out a foottapping jig or reel with the best of them. You ask John for a tune, and he will be able to play it.There may be better guitarists and singers around, but Martin usually manages to hit just about the right notes, and is not too precious to refuse "singing the ones that everyone knows" when folk want to join in.Again there might be more sophisticated drummers around, but you..re not going to warm to them the way people do to Alex, and are they going to hand out percussion for the audience to join in the way Alex does? I think not..............And what about Sean? Irish charm, intense and sensitive banjo-player. Brought into the band for his charisma and reputed sex-appeal.There are slicker, more sophisticated, and technically brilliant bands around for you to stand back and gaze at in reverential silence and awe - if that..s what you want.
However, if you..re up for a good night out, where you can be a part of it - join in if you want - and go home with a feeling of a great night shared, then this is the band for you.Happily, people seem to really like us and enjoy us. We must be managing to do something right !!!
