Reading, movies, pop culture, the Daily Show, Irish culture, traveling.
Friends I have lost touch with over the years.
The two new bands I'm totally in love with are Hinder with their song, "Lips of an Angel" and Stellar Road, a local Chicago band.
Pretty much any movie... though not a big fan of horror or gangster movies. I have a wide useless plethora of movie knowledge. If you can't figure out a movie, just tell me a couple actors from it and can probably find it. I'm also a bit of a Star Wars junkie. At least, I can admit it.
Right now, my favorite shows are Supernatural, Bones and Numb3rs. But in all reality, I don't watch too much TV. Unless it is one of my favorite shows, I'm reading and listening to music.
As usual, I'm reading many books but the one I'm most excited about is Collapse by Jared Diamond. He is basically historial and cultural biologist. In this book, he explores why ancient and modern societies have failed or are failing. It is a fascinating book. He also wrote a book called Guns, Germs and Steel, which explores why societies succeeded and conquered others.
My mom and my sister are two of my heroes. While my mother is crazy and insane, as most mothers are as they get older, she didn't have the greatest childhood and was emotional and mentally abused by my grandmother. However, she made damn sure she broke the cycle with my sister and myself. And, she did. As to my sister, she has the patience of a saint. She puts up with the craziness of my mother while dealing with three and half year old twins.
