About Me
I'm an artist, both literally and abstractly.
Travelling theatres, broadway plays, jazz artists on streets, painters and poets, and antique booksellers - the true reason why I'm in New York.
I adore eclecticism.
I hate straight lines. They are not pretty. And hence you will never find a ruler on my desk.
Subtlties are so important. But sometimes, I'd rather go bold.
I actually spent hours in a bookstore one day looking for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in Fiction section. It turned out it was sitting at a Children's section, which was pretty obvious, yet incomprehensible at the same time when you really think about it.
Adrien Brody is the most gorgeous man I know. He's got everything - the dreamy look, the sleek brown hair, the melancholy air in his eyes, and the nose, of course.
Overrating an underrated film and underrating an overrated film are always fun.
Celtic and Medieval music makes me stop whatever I was doing. Jazz makes me happy.
I probably will end up living in Venice or Santorini sometime in my life.
I adore philosophers, artists, poets, and musicians.
Circle geometry is very philosophical and aesthetically pleasing. And this is the one reason I cannot ditch math like I did with science.
I'm very disorganized, which is artistically a bless, but most of the time a tragedy.
"Encore un moment, monsieur le bourreau, un petit moment!" - Madame du Barry
"Beauty is a form of Genius - is higher, indeed, than Genius, as it needs no explanation."
"People say sometimes that Beauty is only superficial. That may be so. But at least it is not so superficial as Thought is."
"But a chance tone of color in a room or a morning sky, a particular perfume that you had once loved and that brings subtle memories with it, a line from a forgotten poem that you had come across again, a cadence from a piece of music that you had ceased to play-- I tell you, Dorian, that it is on things like these that our lives depend."
"the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes."
"behind every exquisite thing that existed, there was something tragic."
from Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray"
