hi, my names phillip im in the bussiness of media you might have seen me on tv in a morning with my great friend Fern. i was born in oldham back in 1962 but moved to newquay where i sold candyfloss in my earlier years, this is where my dream of becoming a dj took off, i saw the radio 1 road show and just new that is what i wanted to do. I wrote to all the dj's at radio 1 but nobody replied feeling depressed i almost gave up when one day i got a letter from the one and only Annie nightingale (i still have that letter. so i got a job at radio 1 as a clerk 6 months later me and my family moved over to new zealand but i still kept in touch with my friends i made at radio 1 they helped me get a job on a childrens programme called shazam i also managed to get a job on radio hauraki over there. After a few years i got bored with living away from my homeland so i left my girlfriend in new zealand and moved back to the uk. Back in the uk i got a job offer from my friends at bbc it was the first visual linkperson for 25 years, after that the work flooded in but the most fun job i got was working with sarah greene on going live a saturday morning kids show it was a great job i still miss sarah but we meet up now and again for a chat. Now i work with itv on this morning and also i did a series called have i been here before its all great fun.
