WMLU is the student-run radio station at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. It currently runs at 250 watts on 91.3 FM. WMLU is part of a group of NPR stations in central Virginia.
WMLU hosts two concerts at Longwood every year: "Battle of the Bands" in October as part of the Longwood's Oktoberfest activities and Bandfest at Spring Weekend every April. Such artists as Something Corporate, Yellowcard, Saul Williams, Andrew W.K., Mute Math, Josh Kelly, The Fray, Cartel, and Regina Spektor have performed at Bandfest, which began in 1993.
