So, I did this thing called a discipleship training school with YWAM. Training to become a disciple? Whats a disciple, and who am I a disciple of? As Christians we are to be disciples of Jesus (Luke 14:26,27). We follow in the teaching and example of what He said and did. A disciple is a convert but not all converts are disciples. As disciples we are to bear our cross daily (Matt. 16:24). This means to live and die for Him if necessary (Matt. 16:25). When it talks about living and dieing does that mean phyiscally? Perhaps, but maybe He is also talking about dieing to our rights. Jesus gave up everything, family, friends, marriage, His relationship with His Father, a house, an income. So to become a disciple of Christ, we must die to our rights, and take up our cross and follow Him. Are we willing to be disciples, to go out and change the world with Him? Or are we content to live mediocre lives as converts? The choice is yours, choose wisely.
