Eric

This is me. Who are you?

About Me

My name is Eric and I am a Junior government major at the University of Texas at Austin with an emphasis in Pre-Law. I am very active in Music, theatre, law and any combinations therein. I am a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and a pledge of the Beta Upsilon Chi christian fraternity at UT. I don't have much "stock" information but I'd be willing to discuss any and everything with you if you care to get in a chat with me. Ciao!

My Interests

Why do they have an interests column and yet all of your possible interests later? Read below if you want to be in the know. Fool.

I'd like to meet:

Friends, friends and more friends. You can't have too many, you know? I would also like to find people from my past. I hate losing things (even though I do it all the time...probably why I hate it so much *rolleyes) but losing people is the WORST! I'd also like to meet some O&A fans and see some of the FBA crew on here. I also want to meet people with similar future goals so I can have someone to compete against :D Just kidding, but seriously, someone with similar aspirations so that we can hang out and create some professional synergy... img src="http://www.justinpaulbrown.com/images/ut_vince.JPG"

Music:

Classical music (Opera, symphonies, choral), jazz (both vocal and instrumental), basically anything that's not bad rap (*sigh*.) I'm a member of a more 'classical' choir and a 'pop' ensemble (Longhorn Singers.) I am also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a national music fraternity dedicated to the promotion of music in America and am a pledge member of BYX. So, between, like, 12 hours of rehearsal a week and Sinfonia, music plays a huge part in my life. I also love Classic Rock (Aerosmith, Zepplin, Hendrix)
Yeah...that's the stuff. img src="http://www.bluesforpeace.com/images/jimi-hendrix.jpg"

Movies:

I am a BIG fan of the cult classics such as Boondock Saints and Clerks. I'm also a nerd movie fan...Star Wars (III, IV, V, VI (Please, God, tell me I and II were merely nightmares...) The classic 'guy' movies like Braveheart, The Godfather (I, II...III does not exist. Period.) and Gladiator. But, lest ye think that all my movies must have (really cool) violence and (equally cool) deaths, I do have my soft spot for movies such as Love Actually. Also on the list are definitely Fight Club, Superman Returns, Spider Man 1-3 and the Pirates of The Caribbean series.
I'm just having faith on the 3rd of both of those. img src="http://xf3.xanga.com/8d3a54441223263895770/z42831723.jp g"

Television:

I don't get to watch too much of it but when I get around to it, I usually like to watch Lost (who doesn't?), Family Guy, Monk, Smallville (sue me), DBZ (OTAKU!), classic sitcoms like Friends (Yay Syndication, ) Frasier (Ditto, ) and Seinfeld. And, with a passion, I DESPISE reality TV. From American Idol to Survivor to, like, I don't know, 'Who wants to marry a cup of mocha'...some lame something like that. I also tend to watch the history channel every now and then. That and the discovery channel.

Books:

I used to be a very avid reader, and I still try really hard to be. It just doesn't work out that well though. Where DOES all my time go, anyway? Anyway, when I read it's typically Classic Literature (yes, I know, the word 'classic' has appeared in every one of my interest categories. Get over it :D) like Dostoevsky, Tolstoy and others. I like Science fiction (Orson Scott Card, etc.) and the Harry Potter series absolutely rules.

Heroes:

Superman :D He's the shiznit and a real CLASSIC superhero. As for real life folk, my inspiration for being such a psychopath usually comes from Opie (Gregg Hughes), Anthony (Anthony Cumia) and lil' Jimmy Norton from the Opie and Anthony show (on XM and now CBS Radio.) I'm also a huge fan of Troy Aikman and Dirk Nowitzki in the sports world and Trey Parker and Matt Stone for their (always) biting social commentary in South Park. I guess if writer/producers get to be heroes then mad props also need to go to Seth MacFarlane (but only for Family Guy...not American Dad) Edward Norton is also an amazing actor that I love. Some of my favorite performers are Richard Pryor along with (more recently) Bill Burr and Joe Rogan (not only for Fear Factor and UFC, but because he's a hugely insightful guy and comic as well.) President Ronald Reagan is my political inspiration and possibly my biggest hero of them all. I also appreciate, though don't fully understand, the workings of Stephen Hawking.
