About Me

Tiffany Smith is excited to be alive! This excitement transfers from her brain down to her hands into her instrument and her pen. She writes quirky lyrics, and she pins them to smooth yet percussive guitar lines that enter your ears and exit your soul. Her enthusiastic performances make her a show worth seeing. A typical show entails random noises into the microphone, jumping up and down on stage while she’s not singing, and a guest appearance from a talking Bob the Builder doll. Her intimate performances make her audience feel like she is having a conversation with them over coffee and biscotti. She wants the audience to feel her love of music and share that love along with her.
Smith writes with that same energy. Her songs touch on sophisticated and complex issues as she lives them. Her thought-provoking, insightful lyrics capture her listeners. A poet at best, Smith takes her most personal experiences and offers intricate yet accessible details to her listeners. One will experience every thought, feeling, and passion with Smith as she sings.
Her musical journey began when she was three. She realized her dream of becoming a singer when she picked up a tape recorder and spontaneously sang Whitney Houston’s “I’m Your Baby Tonight”. While watching Nickelodeon around the same time, she became fascinated with a forest-dwelling man, wearing a grey track- suit and most importantly, playing guitar. She begged her mom to buy her a guitar of her own. Her efforts were in vain until she received one five years later at the age of eight. Unfortunately, she didn’t know what to do with it because her mom could not afford the lessons needed for her to become a child prodigy. She relentlessly practiced scales and chords in her room, determined to achieve her goal of becoming a professional musician. She would later receive her necessary training in her elementary, middle, and high school bands where she played trumpet. She applied her skills she’d learned at school to transpose the trumpet notes into guitar notes.
She has honed and developed her skills as a performing singer/songwriter. A self-proclaimed and self-taught virtuoso, Tiffany Smith continues to amaze and entertain her audiences.
