Energetic, fun, furious, heartfelt. Low Profile is a 4-piece rock outfit based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Although the quartet may be young, they are by no means lacking the skills, nor the conviction necessary to one day go far. Between the four members of the band, the musical scope is vast. Between Mike's pop and hard rock leanings, Brenden's alternative taste, Malcolm's background in Jazz and the Blues and Cam's broad range of influences, the group comes out with a sound that is somewhat familiar, yet at the same time somewhat different. Coming into the Winnipeg music scene, the band faced a landscape of punk, hardcore, and metalcore music with which they would have to contend. And contend they did, writing, playing shows, and garnering a loyal, ever-growing fan base despite some questionnable live pairings, such as the hardcore punk show they were booked into in November 2005. The group is currently working on cementing some new material, and then heading back into the studio to finish the demo tape they started recording back in July. Two of the songs from those sessions, Heaven and Don't Stop, can be found on this MySpace page. These songs represent the softer side of the group, whereas Feel The Burn (taken from their very first demo, recorded for 60$ in 2005 with original guitar player Marcel Van Caezeele) hints at the sound more common to Low Profile : rock n' roll, plain and simple. As well, the boys are hoping to embark on a short rampage through local venues during the upcoming summer months, so look for their dynamic and vivacious live show coming to a venue near you; the boys have yet to disappoint live. Between their songwriting prowess, musicality, live power, dazzling collective wit and razor-sharp good looks, it is clear that Low Profile will not live up to their name for long!
