Jen, eh?

If our dreams are movies, memories are films about ghosts.

About Me

I'm just here to hang out really.I'm a single mom, of a beautiful 4 1/2 year old girl. I work full time as a custodian. Life is going very well for me.I love to read, write, draw, go to movies, hang out with my daughter, go to Art galleries, and get in touch with old friends. There's more, but I'm being a bit lazy...

Music:

Paul Rusinko, Kevin MacKonkey, Donna the Buffalo, R.E.M., Tears for Fears, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Type O Negative, Pink Floyd... Do I have to list everything I like? That might take a while... I like almost every type of music you could think of, and probably some stuff you haven't heard of if you just listen to the radio around here.

Movies:

Favorite all time movie? Yeah right! That's difficult. The Last Unicorn, Star Wars Trilogy, The Breakfast Club, Labyrinth, Legend, Willow, The Witches of Eastwick, The Matrix Trilogy... I could go on forever.

Television:

Though I work and am usually too busy for TV, I used to have a show or two on every night that I watched.Monday- Wife Swap & Supernanny. Tuesday- Miami Ink. Wednesday- LOST. Thursday- E.R. Friday- Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, & Battlestar Galactica. Saturday isn't really a day for TV, but on Sundays I watch Extreme Home Makeover. Not to mention any good movies on TV, or shows my kid watches.

Books:

Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony. Sabriel trilogy by Garth Nix. Anything Sci-fi/Fantasy, really.

Heroes:

My friends who have helped me out these past few months. My family, who has been nothing but helpful. LOVE YOU GUYS!Albert Paley, Georgia O'Keefe, Steven King, Piers Anthony, Garth Nix, more than I can think of right now. Oh, and Spot, of course!

First off, all of my pets are fine. It's just hard to deal with the death of a pet, whether it's yours or not. And the pet food scares lately, are not helping I'm sure. Two friends of mine have had pet...

Family Values

My parents may not have agreed on much when I was growing up, but they always made sure I knew that they loved me, that I was smart. I went to school not only to learn or because I had to, but becau...

promises promises....

I'm tired of making promises to myself. I never keep them. When I say I will quit smoking, I don't. When I promise myself to get into good shape, I don't. When I tell myself I'll cut back on junkfood,...

As a Parent...

Floating along, and living life.

Floating along in life. That's what I'm doing. Not much purpose but to keep food on the table and a roof over the heads of my loved ones. I want more, but more of what, exactly? Jobs come and go, daug...

I realized this not even 5 minutes into my bike ride today. Yes, I have a bike. I bought one not long ago (before the whole job issue), with the idea of riding a few times a week for exercise. Now, My...

You may want to shrug off all of the things you do for us, but I just had to acknowledge it all in front of the world. You were there for me when I needed a friend, and told me how to stand my ground. ...
