Well, I am a wife, mother, Christian, Marine wife, and I am sure that some have found other titles for me. For those of you that have not seen me since high school, I have a four year old boy, Henry Howard Stephen, a 3 year old boy, Cadence Hunter, and my little 1 year old princess, Anna Grace. We are expecting our fourth child, a boy, and I could not be more blessed. I am married to an amazing man, Stephen Barrett. He was my high school sweetheart. I love the Lord for all that he has given me and for the things that he has not. I love my marriage, my children, my sanity (when it visits me occasionally), trucks, green grass, when the leaves change in the mountains, evenings in the rocking chair on the front porch with the love of my life, watching the old ladies at church on Sunday morning as they gossip, and hearing my daddy say "I love you". Yes, I realize that I sound like a pure southern girl, but I am. In the past few years I have discovered a lot about myself. There is beauty in being a mother, you can't be loved unless you first love yourself, my children are a gift from God (all of the time) and so is my husband, cherish friends even when they aren't so friendly, growing older is not so bad, and live each day for the Lord and not for yourself. My husband is currently serving in the Marine Corps and although at times we have encountered things that some could only imagine, we have ultimately grown closer to eachother and to our Lord and savior. Because, trust me, when you experience losing some of the tremendous friends that we have, you discover that God is all that we can lean on to get us through. I once had a dear Uncle of mine tell me that i would truely see the power in prayer when I desired to pray for others needs before my own, and then I did not understand, but today I do. So, if you do not learn anything else about me by reading this, know that, I love my Lord, my family, my country, and those that I come across in life whether they are lovable or not. Yes, I do fail from time to time, but it is not those times of failure that I live in. Oh, and yes I do think that my kids are the cutest in the world.
