Im 24 years young, im hungry and i'm lyrically in the best shape of my life!" From Newark, NJ. but Danbury, CT. raised, Young Nazty picked up a love for music at a young age. In his early years, Young Nazty a.k.a Nazty or b.k.a Nazty NUT first developed a love for R&B music, "I always wanted to be a singer, you know...its a beautiful thing, lively, positive music. Shit, you could pop on some old Ginuwine when your with a nice female, get it poppin', its good mood music, real niggaz know" as he laughs. As the years passed and Nazty became older, he quickly came to the realization that it was Hip-Hop that he was missing in his life."I love Hip-Hop as a whole, the culture, the music, its my passion. When everythings upside down I just pop in some Jay, 96' shit Reasonable Doubt, twist me a little something and just ride out." But it wasn't just Jay-Z that attracted him to the game, it was the diversity within the music, within the industry."See when i started to listen to Hip-Hop tough, tough, like on some everyday shit, it had to be around the time Nas & Big really started poppin' off. So I'd say around 93', 94', i was 8-9 yearz old, "If I Ruled The World", and "Big Poppa" were just crazy to me. At the time though 'Pac was really starting to get it in too, Dear Mama, Keep Ya Head Up, generic 'Pac joints but CLASSIC!" Nazty(born Al-Fatir Marrero) got more involved in the Hip-Hop scene, wearing more hip-hop orientented gear, fitted hats, and being a basketball player, the cockiness went hand and hand."When i was young living back ..an, the street i was raised on, me and my niggaz had a little click called the Zoo Boyz, now that i look back on it we had alot of fun frontin' like we were a gang but if it woulda came down to it we were young and stupid." One day on a trip to Washington with his 8th grade class, two of his classmates were trying to write a rhyme but couldn't finish. Nazty joined in on it and finished the rhyme and some creating a clever rhyme scheme." Ever since that day on the bus, i haven't stopped writin', its my therapy from the world when shit gets thick nah mean." Before we ended the short conversation we asked Nazty what he intended to bring to the game, that it doesn't already have." I intend to bring consciousness, ME, the real me, no fabrication, everthing i've been through, experienced, and what im going through. Plus, that funk, that feel good music, i intend to set the standards for versatility, and i don't think anyone can hate on my flow, you don't gotta like it, but respect it."
