Exit 2 Nowhere

About Me

After numerous spontaneous combustion mishaps with former drummers, Deke, Gary and John return to their roots and play them old timey acoustical instruments. We still Jam, we even still rock. But now instead of BANG BANG BANG we go TWANG TWANG TWANG. Remember groove is in the heart, and drummers are incredibly flammable.

Its funky, chunky, hillbilly jams. More fun then a rented monkey on crack, and feel free to insert a catchy line of hyperbole here.

Live on WUSC with Redneck Matt and Hillbilly Jean ..

Deke Guitar,Vocals

Gary Bass,Vocals

John Banjo, Vocals

Influences: It would be fair and accurate to say Everything weve every heard But since this is really about having the Right influences, lets start listing. The Grateful dead, Yonder mountain string band, John Hartford, Big Wu, Dawg, Pete Rowan, Old and in the way, Miles Davis (you always gotta put Miles in, hes the musical influence equivalent of Long walks on the beach in personal ads), Bill Monroe (we dont play any of his songs but he did start this banjo happy poo flinging morass and God bless him for it), Hippy grass, Blue grass, Jam grass, Something-something grass, The smell of fresh cut grass. and lets not forget the most influential grass of all of course I wont name it. Locally we are very influence by Mountain Express, Folkstone, Unbroken chain, and of course, Dangerous fun. And it just wouldnt be right not to mention Earl Scruggs so Earl Scruggs.
Sounds Like: Yonder Mountain String band, Old and in the way, John Hartford, Primus meets Earl Scruggs.A Bull Moose dry humping the neighbors poodle while looking up at the stars and feeling insignificant. Yeah, sounds just like that. Holy evil Jesus, there is a sound file right on this page!!!! If you were to listen to it you would know what Im talking about.
Record Label: We use those sticky labels for our CDs when we can
