We've taken a bit longer than expected to get it going on but here we are.
The Beatnik Radio show started in 2004 and was one of the first shows to take residency at 209radio ( http://www.209radio.co.uk ). 2 years on and the station has finally been granted an FM license! Way to go... So why not be an early adopter of the Beatnik sound before everyone knows about it and it becomes less cool than it currently is!
The Show
We play bits of jazz, funk, soul, nu-jazz, broken beat, brazilian, bossa, reggae, house, techno and all sorts of unexpected bits and pieces from the leftfield music scene. We really don't have strong boundaries, just a thirst for a hot tune no matter where it came from.
