About Me

I am learning more about who I am as I understand God more. So many changes in my perspective going on in me these days. Its hard, but good stuff. I'm a midwife in transition. I moved back to Washington state from the Philippines a year ago to start a midwifery practice with my good friend Mel. Its taking longer than this optimist hoped it would but its good. Its God. Only He can make dreams that are bigger than we are happen! I've learned a lot and grown a lot as a midwife. I love midwifery because I can just keep growing and growing and learning and learning in it for the rest of my life. I'm a sister, a Nannee, an Ammie, and an Auntie Jenn. =) I'm a postpartum doula (at least in theory...need to kick start myself into this) and a breastpump delivery person. I'm a one-on-one or small-group-of-people kind of person. I love to laugh, but I am also pretty serious. I'm a romantic. I am a good listener, but also really like to be listened to. ..

My Interests

Rain...Its relaxing, refreshing, renewing. Water in general is just really amazing! =) My nieces and nephews and encouraging them in who they were made to be. Whole, healthy, thriving families living in God's design for us. Language learning...the current one is Somali and then maybe Arabic. Guitar...mediocre at best, I have this dream of learning to finger-pick and play classical guitar well! Photography...Want more time to refine this passion. Birth...amazing, new life is amazing. As are strong women.

Jewelry...Making it and wearing it. Quilting...have yet to finish that baby quilt Pam and I were working on for Asher. Knitting. Still haven't finished the scarf I started last summer. I love vegetables, chocolate, yoga (haven't made it to a class in a long time though...sad : ).

I'd like to meet:

My Jesus face to face, my sister Pamela who died before I was born. People who have go-into-all-the-world (with prayers, feet, hearts) worldview.

Suffering Love

"For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. John 10:17, 18a Jesus said that no one co...
