I am here for Friends

About Me

Ex inhabitant of La Brea, a wide palm tree spotted length of concrete that runs up the middle of the sprawl that is L.A. all the way up to the Hollywood Hills. One day, I moved 3000 miles away, and now I'm here in China. I've surrounded myself now with various levels of the Surreal, and I'm happy with it. I'm comfortable with instability, and this place suits my occasional bouts of commitment phobia. Everything, everything, is short bursts of euphoria followed by long periods of contemplation, like a beautiful daoist ink drawing hung on the wall of a Hong Kong Chop Socky movie set. I'm most afraid of silence.

Why we hold our ground.

I'm a stubborn person, not a violent person, but a stubborn one.  When people come at me bristling, I usually hold my ground. If I'm right I'm right, and through I try not to provoke others I don...

MacDonalds is Addictive

I tried to justify the whole thing by saying "I'm only getting a small fry and the portions in China are smaller" when I get that oily Big Mac meal. I rewind and replay "Supersize Me" i...
