About Me

WALSTIB! Some people take off a semester or two in their college career to "find" themselves. I, on the other hand, took off about 18 semesters (not counting Summer sessions) to try to make it as a rock star and eventually "found" myself working a crappy job in Dallas. Tired of the music scene and musician's lifestyle, I decided to go back to college, and with a little help, got accepted to UNT. My first job out of college was a pretty plush gig working as a video producer for the City of Denton Public Information Office. You know, I thought that you could NEVER get fired from a government job... I got laid off in 2005 when the city experienced a revenue shortfall... Now I work as a media services Coordinator at UNT. Basically, I run a video editing lab. It's a pretty cool gig, really... I still like to bust out the guitar every once in a while, and I sometimes miss the gigging life... I sure don't miss being broke all the time, though... Now I just want to produce video in my spare time, maybe put together a public access program or film project... Whatever. I just like to stay busy and creative, because the day you stop learning and doing is the day you stop being... or not. :)Check out the videos I've uploaded...

Yeah, if I screwed up and sunk my company, I wouldn't get a dime...  I say let the market take it's course- these companies made gas guzzling behemoths when it was obvious that resources are getting s...

A LOT has happened since the last blog...

Yeah, I'm gonna be a daddy.  TWICE.  I know I've already told some folks, but I realized that I hadn't updated it on MySpace, and you know that if it isn't documented on MySpace, it didn't h...

Farewell to fish

Normally, I wouldn't be too upset about the passing of a fish- our black mollys seem to reproduce and die at a regular rate- a sort of circle of life thing, but this morning was alt...

Quick rant

Inspiration for an invention

As I sat there holding a still-damp paper towel in my hand at 5 this morning, I thought about how effective it would be if my alarm clock sounded like a barfing cat...
