About Me
I started riding BMX on vert way back in the early days of freestyle. Early influences have to be, Eddie Fiola, Mike Dominguez, Brian Blyther, Dave Vanderspek, Ron Wilkerson & Shawn Geulart. Where I lived all the locals were skaters and they knew all the spots, including all the backyard ramps & pools. I didnt skate so I started carving around trying not to die, that was it, I was hooked. I had no idea what I was doing or how to even do it right, it was just fun. There was no video I could go by to see how it was done. Once my homie marc & I started to figure it out it became clear, the tight ass pools just werent good enough to catch air and go high. From there the ramps were made, a quarter pipe, then a half pipe, then an even bigger halfpipe. Started going to the pipeline and riding the fullpipe & bowl, watchin the pro..s rip it up, I was just amazed. Time went on and before I knew it, I wasnt a teenager anymore and life was taking over. Got a girlfriend, a job and bills, riding just became less of a priority. Seemed like the whole BMX scene died around the same time, the last 2 skateparks in california (the pipeline & del mar) closed as well. After way too many years of sittin on my ass gettin fat and lazy working on a computer, I needed some excitement again. Now days with skateparks popping up everywhere, its finnaly easy to find a place to ride. So back in 2005 I bought a bike and started riding the local park. What a rush, that was it I was hooked again. It took a while to lose weight and get back in semi shape enough to be able to hang with the friggin kids now days. They re little energizer bunnies that never stop, with these insane tricks that just boggle my mind. Its great to see how far the progression has come in 20+ years since it all started. So glad I started riding again, I had forgotten how fun it was to go out and play like a kid. Thats the reason why I go crazy now if I dont ride for a week. So get off you ass old guys and ride, get some exercise... you can do it!
This page is a mix of both my work and pleasure. Shooting video is fun, editing it all is a bit more work. I have bike videos & my reels of animation, along with a few illustrations for different T-Shirts and band fliers. Riding the skatepark is pretty much just my hobbie and after sittin in front of a computer all day its really great way to get off my ass and do somehting.
